The Crimson Muse

Six years ago, your face came to me in a dream. Radiating with hair of fire, and a compassion burning just the same. And in you brilliance you stood there confidently, watching over me. Were you my virtuous white knight coming to lead me to my salvation? or merely a spectator as I lay ravaged within my own nightmare?

Your light is what saw me through the darkness of the abyss. Your face reminding me of the love I lost in this world...but you were your own being, more human than what humans could. And when the daylight aproaches... leaving me heartbroken and empty without your embrace in the waking world. Is it wrong to linger on these feelings? To want to sleep forever if it means a chance to be with you? I know it wont. It never lasts. But at night I'm yours, as the haunting continues of the life we share...

and I will not judge those whom I take comfort in another in your absence, or blame you for doing the same when we find each other under the realm of moonlight. We are lovers of circumstance. Torn and divided by worlds apart... but whatever "god" himself may throw at us. Always know, you will always be my most precious concubine!
